Fall Cocktail Round Up

Morgan | October 11, 2018

Autumn is the time of year when I host the most get-togethers. Football games with potlucks, my annual Halloween costume party and, of course, Friendsgiving.  With these happy times, I do my part to ensure that spirits are bright by having the most fall-inspired cocktail recipes ready to go. And, as we know, you don't always need an occasion on the calendar to get creative with a cocktail. Here is a list of my favorite drinks that are perfect for any fall day because sometimes the changing color of the leaves is enough of an occasion to cheers!

 Berry Aperol Spritz

Berry Aperol Spritz is my absolute favorite drink this time of year. It's a mix of Champagne, Aperol and Club Soda fused with the bursting flavors of raspberry, blackberry and orange. The taste is perfection and the color is the exact color orange of all my Halloween decor. Not only does it taste great, it also helps set the Halloween mood!

Apple Bourbon Blackberry Sour

For the Bourbon fans, I love preparing this Apple Bourbon Blackberry Sour. It is also a great drink to feature come Halloween because of the dark purple hue of the blackberries. I like to mix up my citrus selection for this recipe with an orange or grapefruit for that extra zing and a pop of color!

Spiced Berry SangriaThis is easily one of the prettiest drinks I have ever made. Spiced Berry Sangria is like sipping on a tall glass of autumn. To prepare this drink,  you must first bring ingredient like anise, cinnamon and sugar to a boil. The memory of this spicy aroma is the unforgettable, warm welcome your guests will treasure for years to come!

Blackberry Mulled WineIf you're more of a red wine fan, the Blackberry Mulled Wine is another crowd-pleaser that delivers on taste and scent. Like the Spiced Berry Sangria, this recipe involves boiling cloves, star anise pods, 2 cinnamon sticks, except everything is boiled in juniper berries in red wine! It is absolutely delicious.

Strawberry Basil Limoncello MartiniAnother fall cocktail-go-to is the Strawberry Basil Limoncello Martini. This is a classic at my parties because the strawberries and mint are always a winning combination. It's also easy to prepare with the fastest prep time of all my favorite fall cocktails!

Cheers to this festive time of year. I hope you enjoy it with with loved ones. For more fall inspiration, subscribe to The Buzz Blog. It's full of cocktails, appetizers and other dinner party planning essentials.
