Happy National Eat What You Want Day! Whether you’re on a strict diet, or you simply remain conscious of what you eat in order to keep your body healthy, consistently eating well can be a difficult task-- even for the most strong-willed person.
With the plethora of food options available, (most of which are NOT healthy) it can be a daily struggle to eat healthy 100% of the time. I do the best I can to avoid processed sugary foods, but once in a while I give in. I usually feel guilty afterword, and then regret my indulgence. Can anyone relate to this pattern? I know I’m not alone this! Thankfully, there is a day where we can give ourselves the freedom to treat ourselves, and that day is today!
This holiday was created so that you can allow yourself ONE day to break off of your healthy eating habits and eat something you really enjoy. To clarify—we’re not encouraging you to eat as MUCH as you want, but rather to give yourself the freedom to enjoy an extra special treat, or what ever it is you normally wouldn’t consume while on your diet. After all your hard work throughout the year, you deserve at least one cheat day, right?
