Party Like it's 1776 with These Patriotic Recipes

Morgan | July 3, 2019

Happy 4th of July everyone! It's one of my all-time favorite holidays - I can already hear the pool splashes, the sizzling of the grill and laughter from my loved ones around a patio table. This is what summer is all about.

While we decide on what colors we'll mix and match for our most festive outfit (shoutout to my bright red lipstick!), we've got your party menu covered.

Here are a few of our most patriotic recipes to let freedom ring this weekend:

Red, White and Blue 4th of July Skewers

Who says meat gets to have all the fun? Our bright red and blue California Giant berries make the perfect skewer alternative with bite sizes of pound cake. These are the perfect appetizer or afternoon snack for the kids!

Patriotic Paleo Flag Cake

Paleo + Grain Free + Dairy Free = A specialty dieters dream recipe! You can get the kids involved in this one too - just slice the strawberries and have the kids assemble the flag. For a bigger party, make it a competition to see which group can make the best flag the fastest!

Patriotic Popsicles

With a few popsicle molds and your favorite patriotic fruits, you can make this party keep going through the night to watch fireworks. Not to mention keep you cool through those hot summer hours if you use these as a snack.

Pro tip: If you like your popsicles with straighter lines, place the popsicle mold in the freezer after you add each layer. This will allow each layer to harden (so the colors don't mix) and will result in straight red and white stripes.
