How to Make Berry and Herb-Infused Spritzers

Cal Giant | June 15, 2015

The sun is out, the berries are ripe and I’m getting veryyy thirsty! We’ve already toasted the arrival of summertime with the Razzleton Cocktail and a Roasted Berry Lemonade Cocktail, but I’m craving the flavors of mixed berries and herbs.... with a twist.  Add a little oomph to your next cocktail party or backyard happy hour with a delightful Mixed Berry and Herb-Infused Spritzer. Feel free to use any mix of California Giant berries, but for this bright and bubbly drink, I chose sweet raspberries and blueberries to balance the tartness of fresh blackberries and finished it off with a bright pop of mint.

Mint-Infused Mixed Berry Spritzer
Serves: 2-3

What you’ll need:

  • a handful of California Giant berries
  • fresh, organic mint leaves (no more than two sprigs)
  • 2 tablespoons of agave, honey, or other sweetener (optional)
  • club soda
  • 1 cup chilled white wine (I love the mellow flavor of Chardonnay)

Putting it together:

  • Give your berries a good rinse.
  • Muddle a small handful of berries with the mint and light agave for a hint of extra sweetness. Let the mixture stand for 5 minutes to allow the flavors to marry.
  • Fill glass with muddled berry mixture and pour wine first.
  • Top off with club soda
  • Garnish with more fresh berries and mint.

These thirst-quenchers are ready to party in 10 minutes or less and you have a cocktail or mocktail fit for the whole family (sans the wine and add extra club soda) and for party guests. Cheers friends!
