Cinnamon Sugar Berry Quesadillas

Is anyone else ready to make their morning routines easier? If you’re like me then you hate the sound of your alarm clock and you hit the snooze button at least three times before finally rolling out of bed. I can't start my day until I've had a piping hot cup of coffee and something in my belly. Since breakfast is THE most important meal of the day and I wait until the last minute to get ready, I’ve discovered a few recipes and tricks to get out the door with breakfast in hand in no time.


One of my favorite recipes to put together in the morning is breakfast quesadillas. They're the perfect way to spice up the mornings and they always put me in a festive mood. Whole grain tortillas are loaded with ooey gooey nut butter and fresh fruit to give you the energy you need to start the day off right.


You are going to flip when you find out how EASY this breakfast is to make. It takes me 10 minutes to create the perfect cat eye but less than 2 to create this sweet breakfast treat. Give yourself the perfect amount of nut butter on two whole grain tortillas but be sure to leave plenty of room for all of your strawberries, blackberries, and blueberries! Oh my goodness… I just thought of tomorrow’s nut butter and berry combo – chocolate spread and raspberries – yum!


  • 2 whole grain flour tortillas

  • Your favorite peanut or almond butter

  • About ½-1 cup of sliced California Giant Berries

  • 1 T sugar + 2 tsp ground cinnamon mixed together


  • Place the 2 tortillas flat on a cutting board

  • Spread peanut butter on the side facing up of each tortilla

  • Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar mixture

  • Shingle out the sliced berries on top of the peanut butter on one tortilla

  • Place the other tortilla, peanut butter side down, on top of the berries

  • Cut into quarters and then place in a ziploc bag or airtight container.
