The day after I got engaged, my mother started planning our wedding. You see, growing up I always knew I wanted to get married on my parent’s farm. When I was 12 years old, one of my cousins got married on our farm, and it was absolutely magical. I remember the string lights hanging over the tables, the live reggae band singing music all night long, and thinking one day I want to get married here.

Fast forward 15 years and it is actually happening. And now that I work for California Giant Berry Farms, I’m determined to add fresh berries into the mix. After all, what better to go with a farm wedding than fresh fruit? Luckily my fiancé, Ryan, loves berries too and is also excited about our wedding décor!

Over the next few months, I will be blogging about the process leading up to our wedding day – mostly how I will be incorporating berries into our wedding. Everything from using strawberries in the flower arrangements to our signature drink, and endless DIY projects including strawberry basil ice cubes—all of which you can see on The Buzz!
