It's probably safe to say that we're fanatics about fitness and nutrition - and even more so when there are kids involved. That's why we're thrilled to be a gold sponsor of the 2014 Tour de Fresh. This 275-mile charity bike ride along the California coast has been organized by many members of the fresh produce industry to benefit the Let's Move Salad Bars to Schools campaign.
Let's Move Salad Bars to Schools is raising funds to place salad bars in schools across the country and has already donated over 3,400 salad bars nationwide. Combine that great cause with our passion for cycling (did you know that we also sponsor a championship cycling team?) and the decision to support this event was a no-brainer! Our own VP of Sales, Anthony Gallino, is participating as a rider, as well, so we'll be cheering him along each of the 275 miles down the coast.
