I think I found my new favorite smoothie. Not only does it have berries (because only the best smoothies do), but it has beets and ginger, too! Can you imagine the health benefits?? This thing is packed with vitamin C, fiber, and essential minerals like potassium and manganese! Not to mention, the great antioxidant content the berries provide.
And if you're not a huge fan of beets, i've got great news - you can't even taste them! You'll get all the amazing health benefits with a simple sweet berry taste! It's perfect for getting little ones to eat healthy!

1 cup California Giant blackberries
1/2 cup California Giant strawberries or blueberries
1 frozen banana
1/2 cup cooked beets*
1/2 cup milk
1 tsp fresh, grated ginger
1 Tbsp maple syrup
*To cook beets, bring water to a boil in a large saucepan. Add the beets and simmer for 45 minutes. Peel while the beets are still warm.
