A Berry Spooky Halloween

Share
I don’t know about anyone else, but Halloween is one of my favorite holidays—though really, what’s not to love about every holiday between the months of October and December? And naturally, I’ve made my way through Pinterest to start cooking up some spooky and sweet ideas for the 31st. These were some of the best ideas I’ve found, so I hope you enjoy them too!
buzz3-300x200 This idea is pretty gross—but that’s a good thing for Halloween! These graham cracker “band-aids” are a true representation of “trick or treat.”
vampire_cocktail-1 Of course something called “Vampire Cocktail” got my attention! Food blogger Self Proclaimed Foodie uses a syringe to infuse her drink with raspberry goodness (or in this situation, raspberry blood).
Haunted-Halloween-Brownies HOW cute are these little marshmallow ghosts by Mom Foodie? Child or adult, I think anyone would get a kick out these spooky and sweet brownies. Give this recipe a berry boost by using these blueberry brownies beneath the marshmallow ghosts!)

Along with this new Halloween Pinterest board, the California Giant team came up with something pretty cute this year (oops, does that take away from the spookiness?). We plan to share this on Instagram later this month, but since you’re a follower and reader of The Buzz, I thought I’d treat you with a sneak peak of our upcoming “Buried Berries” post.
  • buried_berriesStart by pouring ground coffee or crushed chocolate cookies into a bowl.
  • To make the strawberries you’ll want to dip them in melted white chocolate, then freeze until hardened.
  • Pipe on faces with frosting, or stick on some edible candy eyes (using frosting as glue) and you have strawberry zombies rising from the dead!
This just goes to show that fresh fruits and veggies can play a part in any occasion—even one that’s dedicated to candy. Keep an eye on Instagram @californiagiantberries to see when this little treat goes live—and let everyone know that you got a first look because you read The Buzz!
