Grilled Chicken Tenderloins with Fresh Strawberry, Jalapeño, Cilantro Citrus Salsa

These mouthwatering grilled chicken tenderloins are brilliantly grilled and seasoned then topped with a delectable cilantro citrus salsa made with fresh California Giant strawberries and jalapeños.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 pound of chicken breast tenderloins
  • ⅓ cup of olive oil
  • For the Rub:

  • 1 teaspoon of ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon of ground pepper
  • 1 teaspoon of garlic
  • 1 teaspoon of sea salt
  • For the Salsa:

  • 1 cup of fresh chopped California Giant strawberries
  • ½ cup of chopped cilantro
  • ½ cup of chopped purple onions
  • 1 jalapeño pepper chopped
  • 1 lemon juiced
  • ½ teaspoon of sea salt

DIRECTIONS

      • Combine the spices for the rub in a small bowl.
      • Place the chicken tenderloins in a bowl and add olive oil and then season with the rub.
      • Cover the chicken and refrigerate while you prepare the strawberry salsa.
      • For the salsa, clean the strawberries with running water, cut the stem and chop.
      • Prep the rest of the ingredients and add all in a bowl. Combine well with a spoon and season with freshly squeezed lemon juice and sea salt.
      • Grill your chicken tenderloins until getting the grilling marks.
      • Serve immediately and top with the strawberry jalapeño fresh salsa. (Tip: This strawberry jalapeño salsa is mild. If you want it spicier use serrano chiles instead.)
